Ouden Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond freshman wide receiver Boyd Ouden was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for his work against Delaware this past Saturday.
A native of Woodbridge, Virginia, and a 1999 graduate of C.D. Hylton High School, Ouden (6-1, 180) caught a 52-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sean Gustus early in the second quarter that gave the Spiders a 17-0 lead against the fifth-ranked Blue Hens. It was Ouden's first collegiate catch and his first touchdown at Richmond.
Delaware fought back against the 14th-ranked Spiders, scoring a touchdown with 1:12 remaining to claim a 24-17 victory.
Richmond is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Atlantic 10. The Spiders travel to New Hampshire this Saturday to face the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m.
