Cliff Coker, DL, 6-1, 235, Brooklyn, NY - Poly Prep
Coker had 65 tackles and 12 sacks this past season and was voted Defensive Player of the Year at Poly Prep. He earned first team All Brooklyn, first team All New York City and second team All New York State for the 1999 season. Coker recorded 65 tackles and 12 sacks during his junior campaign. He was a three-time New York State Wrestling Champion at heavyweight.
Chris Fields, RB/DB, 5-11, 190, Woodbridge, VA - C. D. Hylton
Fields was a team captain this past fall and was an All Cardinal District defensive back each of the past two seasons. He won the Cardinal District Academic-Athletic Achievement Award for 1999. Fields earned the Bryon Stevenson Award for the outstanding football player at C.D. Hylton High School for 1999. He was a two year starter in football, a three year starter in baseball and ran winter track in 1998-1999. Fields won the Athletic Achievement Award as a sophomore and was on the honor roll in 1998 and 1999.
C. J. Johnson, Jr., RB/DB, 6-0, 175, Snow Hill, MD - Stephen Decatur
Johnson was a team captain and the 1999 Team MVP on offense for Stephen Decatur High School. He second team All Bayside Conference and second team All Mason-Dixon Team. He averaged 9.4 yards per carry and scored 18 touchdowns. Johnson also participates in basketball and track. He has been a track team captain for three years. He was 1999 Bayside Conference Champion and 2A Maryland East Regional State Champion in the 100m and 200m. Johnson was seeded #1 in the State Championships for the 100m with a time of 10.53 seconds.
Art Rayner, OT/DL, 6-3, 290, Volant, PA - Wilmington Area
Rayner earned first team All Mercer County honors this past fall on offense and on defense after earning second team honors on offense and defense in 1998. He was named to the Sharon Herald Newspaper Top 22. Rayner played in the North-South All-Star Game (Mercer County vs. Lawrence County). Rayner is a member of the National Honor Society.
Michael Rogers, DT/OG, 6-3, 275, Bridgewater, MA - Cardinal Spellman
Rogers is a team captain for football and basketball at Cardinal Spellman High School. He recorded 84 tackles this past fall with 18 sacks, 13 forced fumbles, one interception and two touchdowns. Rogers was a two time All Central Catholic League selection for football and for basketball. He was named to the 1999 Brockton Enterprise All Scholastic Team.
Danny Young, RB/DB, 5-11, 185, Federalsburg, MD - North Caroline
Young was a captain this past season at North Caroline High School. He was first team All Bayside Conference in 1998 and 1999. Young rushed for over 2,500 yards and scored 34 touchdowns in three varsity seasons. He is also a captain on the baseball team and was first team All Bayside Conference in 1998 and 1999. Young is also a member of the indoor track team.
