Richmond Rallies To Down Old Dominion In Double OT

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Greg Stevenson scored four of his 27 points in the second overtime Saturday night after Richmond got game-tying 3-pointers to end regulation and the first extra period in a 77-73 victory against Old Dominion.
The Spiders (13-5, 5-3 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 61-58 with four seconds left in regulation until Jeff Myers' 3-pointer tied it. Kinte Smith then hit another 3-pointer with 45 seconds left in the first overtime to again draw Richmond even, this time at 69-all.
In the second extra period, Stevenson hit all four of his free throws, Eric Zwayer hit two and Tim Faulconer and Rick Houston hit one each. The Spiders also held the Monarchs (9-12, 4-4) scoreless for the final 45 seconds to clinch the victory.
Clifton Jones and Pierre Greene led Old Dominion with 18 points each and Andre McCullum had 14. Jones also had 13 rebounds and Greene was 10-for-10 from the line.
Stevenson was the only Richmond player in double figures. He also had 10 rebounds.
