Richmond Cross-Country Competes In NCAA South Regional

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The University of Richmond men and women's cross country teams will competed in the NCAA Southeast Region Qualifier hosted by Furman University on Saturday, November 10 with the top four teams advancing to the November 19 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship.
Richmond's women's team placed ninth in the 6 K event. Ruth Chege, who earned All-Atlantic 10 honors after her seventh-place finish at the conference finals, led the charge placing 35th. Sarah Taylor finished 50th in the field of nearly 200.
The men's team finished 23rd on the day. Jonathan Lauder was the top finisher with an 89th showing.
