LAS VEGAS (AP) - Reggie Brown scored five of his 27 points in overtime Saturday as Richmond defeated Southwest Missouri State 67-60 for fifth place in the Las Vegas Classic.
Brown's 3-point shot with 1:03 remaining in the second half tied the game at 56 and forced the overtime. Southwest Missouri State's Monwell Randle missed a long jumper as time expired.
Mike Skrocki's 3-pointer with 2:54 to play in overtime snapped a 59-all tie and put the Spiders (5-5) ahead for good. Brown scored his team's final five points on a 3-point shot and two free throws.
Tony Dobbins had 14 points and eight rebounds, and Scott Ungerer had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Spiders. Brown and Dobbins each had four steals.
Mike Wallace led Southwest Missouri State (4-7) with 22 points and 17 rebounds, but was held to four points after halftime. Randle added 13 points and Terrance McGee scored 12 for the Bears.
Southwest Missouri State jumped out to a 17-4 lead, and held a 36-26 halftime advantage. Richmond outscored the Bears 21-8 to begin the second half for a 47-44 lead. The game was close the rest of the way.
