
Spiders Fall To 34th-Ranked Lady Monarchs

Norfolk, Va. - The 34th ranked Old Dominion women's tennis squad defeated Richmond 5-2 Tuesday afternoon to improve its record to 14-1 on the season.
Old Dominion won the top four singles matches and two of three doubles matches. Sophomore Casey Cohen (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Bolles) won at #5 singles 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Freshman Patty Devlin (York, Pa./York Suburban) was victorious at #6 singles 7-6, 7-5. Devlin teamed with junior Michele Koclanes to win #3 doubles 8-4.
The Spiders are now 4-9 overall and 0-2 vs. CAA opposition. Richmond host East Carolina on Tuesday, April 3 at 2:30 pm.
