BALTIMORE, Md. (March 31)--Johns Hopkins had three players record hat tricks in a 15-4 victory over Richmond in women's lacrosse action on Saturday at Homewood Field. The Spiders fall to 0-7 on the season while the Blue Jays improve to 6-3 overall.
Richmond would take the early lead after sophomore Katie Dolan (Towson, Md./Towson) netted her sixth goal of the season less than a minute into the contest. With just :02 left on the clock to end the half, Jamie Larrimore tallied the first of her three goals of the game to put Hopkins ahead 7-2 at the break.
Aitken recorded her 14th goal of the season and second of the game at the 24:28 mark of the second half to pull the Spiders to within five (8-3). Richmond would keep the Blue Jays off the board until the 13:33 mark when another Hopkins scoring run put the game out of reach.
