Renovated Football Locker Room Nearly Ready

Finishing touches are being made to the Richmond Spiders new-look locker room in the Robins Center. The project began shortly after spring semester ended, and is scheduled to be completed when freshman student-athletes arrive the first weekend in August. All 90 custom-made premium wood lockers are in place. Workers are finishing installation of a new ceiling, heating and air conditioning units, bathroom facilities, sound system and carpeting. The Spiders, 2000 co-champions of the Atlantic 10, open their season Saturday September 1st at Virginia. Kickoff is set for 4:30pm.
