Spiders Host La Salle in Men's A-10 Opener Saturday

After months of anticipation and talk, it's now gametime for Richmond's men's basketball team as the Spiders (6-7, 0-0) prepare for their first-ever Atlantic 10 contest Saturday against La Salle (7-5, 0-0). Tipoff is set for 7:30pm at the Robins Center.
The Spiders have won three of their past five games while La Salle, under first-year head coach Billy Hahn, owns a four-game winning streak. Not only is it a conference matchup, but a divisional tilt as well. Both the Spiders and Explorers are in the West Division of the A-10. Richmond is 3-6 alltime vs. La Salle, but won the most recent meeting in 1994, 92-71 at the Robins Center.
