Junior Lyndsey Webber Earns A-10 Performer of the Week

Four Spiders Garner Atlantic 10 Accolades
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Four University of Richmond student-athletes earned Atlantic 10 honors this week. Freshman Colin Vint (Fairfax, Va.) was named Men's Soccer co-Rookie of the Week, while freshman Annette Isham (Denver, Colo.) garnered Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Junior Lyndsey Webber (Sayville, N.Y.) was tabbed Cross Country Performer of the Week, while freshman Michelle Swartz (Severna Park, Md.) received Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.
Webber earned the weekly honor after charging across the finish line in 18:20.55 at Overton's Pirate Invitational for a second-place finish. Her performance led Richmond to a second-place team finish. This is the second consecutive week a Spider runner has garnered Performer of the Week with senior Ruth Chege (Brooklyn, N.Y.) grabbing the honor last week.
Vint blasted the game-winning goal in the 80th minute against St. Bonaventure, Sunday, October 6. The forward went on to assist on the insurance goal to clinch the 3-1 win. The freshman also posted two shots during Richmond's 1-1 tie at Duquesne on October 4. Vint is tied for the team lead in goals (three) and tied for second in points (seven).
Forward Isham was selected the A-10's Player of the Week, after netting four of Richmond's six goals last week. The Denver, Colo. native netted both goals in the Spiders' 2-1 overtime win over Duquesne on Oct. 4 and tallied a goal and an assist in their 3-0 win versus St. Bonaventure on Oct. 6. Isham also scored the team's lone goal in its 1-1 tie at Virginia on Oct. 1. She leads the team in three categories, goals (five), assists (four) and points (14). She earned Rookie-of-the-Week honors last week.
Spider goalkeeper Swartz (Severna Park, Md.) earned Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the second time this year after leading the Spiders to a 2-0 record. She registered one save in each game, a 4-1 win over Georgetown and a 2-0 victory against Appalachian State. The 2-0 win was her fourth shutout of the season. She has a .712 save percentage and a 2.13 goals against average for the season.
