Women's Basketball Gets Second Signee

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond department of athletics announced today that Christina Campion (Hamilton Square, N.J.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join head coach Joanne Boyle's women's basketball program for the 2003-04 season.
A 6-0 forward, Campion is a tough-nosed player with outstanding post moves but also has the ability to hit outside shots. As a junior, she averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and four assists per game for The Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J. for coach Sean Casey.
Campion, an All-State selection, was invited to participate in the Nike Camp and was selected as a Nike All-American and an adidas All-American. She is ranked 23rd in the All-Star Girl's Report (ASGR) listing of Top Forwards in the class of 2003. As a junior, Campion helped lead the Falcons to a 17th national ranking and in the 2002-03 pre-season poll, Peddie Girls' Basketball is ranked seventh in the country.
The University of Richmond women's basketball team opens its 2002-03 basketball season on Friday, November 22, as they host Delaware at 5:05 p.m.
