COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Richmond's swimming team begins the final rounds of competition tonight, November 22, 2002 at the Terrapin Cup Invitational. The Spiders will conclude the meet tomorrow, Saturday, November 23.
Richmond is well represented in the final round. Sophomore Mary Adams (Williamsburg, Va.) goes into the finals after breaking another record, one of her own, in the 200-yard individual medley with at 2:02.66 finish. Teammates freshmen Megan Benner (Orlando, Fla.), Brooke Boncher (West Newbury, Mass.), Anne Kirchner (Winter Park, Fla.), and senior Elizabeth Cook (Rockville, Va.) join Adams in the finals.
Senior diver Katie Shipe (Mendon, N.J.) holds second in the 3-meter diving, while freshman Laura MacHaffie (Concord, Mass.) leads the Spiders with her fifth place in the 1-meter diving.
Spiders swimming will conclude the Terrapin Cup Invitational tomorrow, Saturday, November 23.
