Richmond to Host Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Championship

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond won its first Atlantic 10 regular season title and will be the top seed as it hosts the conference tournament this weekend.
Richmond, making their second consecutive tournament appearance, was a perfect 6-0 in Atlantic 10 action on their way to a 14 win season, the most in program history. The Spiders will open play on Friday, November 8, at noon as they face fourth-seeded Saint Joseph's.
In the second game, second-seeded Massachusetts takes on number three seed West Chester. Massachusetts, a regular in tournament action, finished 4-16 overall and 4-2 in the Atlantic 10. West Chester, making their third consecutive tournament appearance, enters the weekend with a 4-2 conference mark, 9-9 overall.
The finals will be held on Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m.
