2002 Football Individual Review
12/04/2002 | Football
Dec. 4, 2002
The 2002 Richmond football season provided numerous anecdotes to the Spider history books - none as dramatic as a two-day game at Rhode Island. A flood that submerged URI's Meade Stadium forced the first game in Atlantic 10 history to be postponed until the next day.
Richmond finished the season 4-7 overall, 4-5 in A-10 action. The Spiders defeated William and Mary, 35-13, in the season-finale to spin a positive ending to an up-and-down campaign. Through the rain and the sun, many individual accomplishments highlighted the fall of 2002.
