Football Graduation Rate Fourth In Nation

Academics have provided a source of pride at the University of Richmond for many years. According to a report published in today's USA Today, the Richmond football team has added another achievement to the growing list.
The Spiders are tied for fourth among all Division I-AA schools in gradution rate at 89 percent. This report deals with 1995 freshmen that have exhausted their eligibility.
Richmond, tied with Bucknell and Villanova, trailed only Davidson (91 percent), Holy Cross and Georgetown (90 percent). The Spiders and Wildcats were joined by Delaware (87 percent) as Atlantic 10 teams in the top-10.
Following a bye on Sept. 28, the Spiders return to action against UMass at 6 p.m. in UR Stadium.
