PITTSBURGH (AP) - Jeff Myers and Tony Dobbins scored 18 points apiece as Richmond defeated Duquesne 75-69 Saturday.
Richmond (9-6, 3-1 Atlantic 10) led by 18 points in the first half and held a 16 point second half advantage.
Duquesne (7-10, 1-3) held Richmond scoreless for a 7 minute 28 second span in the second half and put together a 16 point run to tie the game 53-53.
Ron Dokes hit a 3-pointer to put the Dukes on top 62-59. Jeff Myers scored eight straight points and gave Richmond a 67-62 lead and the Spiders hung on for the victory.
Richmond tied a season high with 12 3-point field goals and the Spiders forced Duquesne to commit 21 turnovers.
Mike Skrocki scored 16 points and Patrick O'Malley contributed a career high 14 points for the Spiders. Kevin Forney scored a game high 19 points for Duquesne. Elijah Palmer and Bryant McAllister had 12 points apiece and Ron Dokes scored 10 points for the Dukes.
