Kate Flavin Named A-10 Player of the Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond sophomore Kate Flavin (Englewood, Colo.) was chosen as the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week following her play in the Spiders' two wins last week. This marks the second time this season that Flavin has received the conference honor.
Against Stony Brook on December 29, Flavin finished with 21 points, five assists and three steals in just 26 minutes of action. She recorded her sixth double-double of the season with a 22-point and 12-rebound performance against Rider on January 3. Flavin has reached double-figures in the scoring column in all but one game and has pulled down 10+ rebounds in seven games.
She leads the Spiders in field goal percentage (.586) and has registered a team-high 31 steals.
Flavin ranks fourth in conference scoring, averaging 17.1 points per game, and her 11.0 rebounds per game place second.
Richmond enters league play with a 9-2 record as they host George Washington on Tuesday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m.
