Thank you for your interest in the University of Richmond Women's Lacrosse team. I believe you will soon learn how exciting the University of Richmond and its lacrosse program is, just as I have in my time as a Spider.
The leadership and support from both the University and the Athletic Department has been tremendous. There is a pledge to offer the student-athlete a top-notch education, the opportunity to compete in a strong conference and give you, the student-athlete, a positive experience for four years both on and off the field.
Some great things continue to happen for and to Richmond Lacrosse and they happen quickly! Recent activity includes our exclusive equipment sponsorship with BRINE, Inc., landscaping on our Bermuda grass field and a newly renovated locker room featuring open face lockers, private showers, stereo system and cable television. We also train and play on Crenshaw Field, a turf surface.
After a successful Fall season, we welcome a strong freshmen group to help catapult us to obtain our goals this 2004 season - Atlantic 10 Championship, automatic bid to NCAA's and national ranking. With the assistance of a great staff of professionals - academic support, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches - this team is enthusiastic and devoted to the season at hand. I believe that RICHMOND LACROSSE will be a national powerhouse in collegiate women's lacrosse.
