Skrocki Scores 1,000th point in Win Over South Florida

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Mike Skrocki scored 15 of his game-high 21 points in the second half, breaking the 1,000-point mark for his college career and leading Richmond to a 70-58 win over South Florida on Saturday night.
Tony Dobbins had seven points, 10 rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocked shots for the Spiders (5-3), who shot 48.4 percent from the floor in the second half and never trailed in the final 20 minutes.
South Florida got 16 points from Bradley Mosley and 15 from Jimmy Baxter. Terrence Leather had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls (3-3), who missed 12 of their 22 free-throw attempts in the game.
A jumper by Brandon Brigham with 11:48 left cut Richmond's lead to 47-44, but the Spiders answered with a 14-7 run over the next six minutes. Skrocki hit a 3-pointer with 5:41 left to give Richmond a 61-51 lead, and the Bulls never seriously threatened again.
