
Lacrosse Plays Final Regular Season Game

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's lacrosse team plays its final home game of the season on Friday, April 25 at 3:30 p.m. as the Spiders face St. Bonaventure. Richmond's five seniors will be recognized 15 minutes prior to the start of the contest.
The Spiders are currently 9-6, 4-2 in the conference, after winning their last two games.
Richmond is among the nation's leaders in several statistical catagories, ranking 13th in draw controls (11.87) and 18th in both scoring offense (11.53) and caused turnovers (11.47). The Spiders lead in the conference in goals (173), caused turnovers (172) and draw controls (178).
Junior Polly Purcell is leading the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 40 goals and 20 assists. She is also among the top ten scorers in the country, averaging 4.0 points per game.
The University of Richmond thanks seniors Katie Dolan (Towson, Md.), Kristy Gallagher (Chatsworth, N.J.), Brooke Garnett (Mount Kisco, N.Y.), Kelly Johnson (Crownsville, Md.) and Ashley Vizzi (York, Pa.) for their four years of hard work and dedication.
Following the regular-season finale, the Spiders will compete in the Atlantic 10 Tournament from March 2-3 in Philadelphia.
