UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The No. 11 Spider Field Hockey squad will look to continue its season-long six-game win streak this weekend at Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Richmond takes on the Rhode Island Rams (4-11, 1-3) Saturday, Oct. 23, at noon then travels to Amherst, Mass., Sunday, Oct. 24 for a noon game against UMass (7-11, 3-1).
The Spiders, 12-2 heading into the weekend, have won their last 17 regular season conference contests dating back to the last match of 2001. Richmond's other conference win streak, which includes A-10 Tournament matches, is 20 games dating back to the beginning of the 2002 Atlantic 10 season.
Junior Holly Cram has won the past two Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors after scoring a combined total of 21 points (8 goals and 5 assists) in the Spiders' last four contests. The Glasgow, Scotland, native is fourth in the nation averaging more than three points per game. Her 18 total goals are tied for fifth best in the country, and are only four away from tying the Richmond single-season record of 22 set by Dawn Reyerson in 1993.

The Severna Park, Md., native has a goals-against average of 0.81 which ranks atop the A-10 standings and fourth in the country. Currently, Swartz ranks at the top of two Richmond single-season lists, including goals-against average and save percentage. Her save percentage of .810 also ranks 13th among the national leaders.
Richmond has never lost to the Rams in the four-game all-time series. The Spiders, 2-0 against Rhode Island on the road, have outscored the Rams 16-3 in the series and 8-1 over the last two contests.
The Spiders and Minutewomen are knotted at 3-3 in the all-time series dating back to 1994. Richmond, winner of the last three contests, is 1-0 when playing in Amherst, with a 4-1 win Oct. 11, 2002.
