Women's Soccer Tops Temple 2-0

PHILADELPIA, Pa. - It was Senior Day at Ambler Field but the Richmond Spiders spoiled the farewell party for the Temple women's soccer team by defeating the Owls, 2-0, on a windy Sunday afternoon. Temple finished the 2004 season with a 4-14-1 record (1-8-1 in Atlantic 10 play). Richmond improved to 9-6-1 overall and 7-4 in the A-10.
Richmond scored in the first five minutes of both halves to account for the offense in the match. Olina Vidarsdottir scored at 4:23 on an assist by Meghan Ogilvie. Richmond's second goal was tallied by Meghan Ogilvie.
Richmond goalie Megan Cox made three saves in the net.
The Spiders will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships this upcoming weekend in Amherst, Mass.
