Saona Chapman Honored to WNIT All-Tournament Team

OMAHA, Neb. - University of Richmond sophomore Saona Chapman (Volunstown, Conn.) was selected to the WNIT All-Tournament team as announced last night following the championship game. Earning the most-ever post-season wins, the Spiders advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament before falling to eventual champion Creighton.
In Richmond's four tournament contests, Chapman led the Spiders in scoring with 20.5 points per game. She shot .500 (13-26) from the three-point line and dished out 20 assists. Chapman paced the team in scoring in three of the four games, including game-high point production against South Florida, Florida State and Western Michigan.
The Spiders ended their season at 23-10, the best mark since the 1990-91 squad recorded 26 victories.
