Women's Lacrosse and Track and Field Earn Weekly Conference Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Libby Berlacher (Villanova, Pa.) of women's lacrosse and freshman Lindsey Smith (Pottsville, Pa.) of the women's track and field team earned Performer of the Week and Rookie of the Week accolades, as announced by the Atlantic 10 today.
Berlacher tallied her first Player of the Week award of the season after scoring nine goals in two games for the Spiders. She registered a season-high six goals in the win over A-10 foe Massachusetts and added three goals in a 12-7 loss to No. 4 Duke. She picked up two groundballs and had four draw controls on the week.
Smith earned her first Rookie of the Week honor after claiming two top-ten finishes in the Lou Onesty Invitational on April 10th. She threw the shot put 39-10.75 feet and placed ninth in the hammer throw with a mark of 130-4.
