Men's Tennis Slides By Mary Washington 4-3

FREDERICKSBURG, VA. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team defeated Mary Washington College 4-3 Sunday afternoon in Fredericksburg, Va. The Spiders record improves to 13-13 with the win.
Richmond won 2-of-3 doubles matches and claimed the early team point. Derek Schwandt won at No. 1 singles before Mary Washington won at the two and three spots to even the score at two. Matt Stillwagon was victorious at No. 4, but the Eagles Matt Rogers won at No. 5. Ryan Goldsmith clinched the victory for the Spiders after he took his match to the third set.
The Spiders are back in action when they return to their second-ever NCAA Tournament this weekend, May 14-16. Richmond faces cross-town rival VCU at 2 p.m. on Friday.
