Women's Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Academic Awards

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond women's lacrosse players Mandy Bourquin (Lutherville, Md.) and Kristen Habicht (Baltimore, Md.) were both selected to the IWLCA Honor Roll as announced yesterday by the organization.
Bourquin, a senior midfielder, started all 16 games while scoring three goals and adding one assist. In the Spiders' win over #16 California, she scored two goals, including the game-winner. In addition, she registered 35 ground balls, 14 draw controls and 16 caused turnovers.
A midfielder, Habicht started all 16 games and scored a team third-best 30 goals while adding seven assists. She recorded five hat tricks, including three consecutive against #9 Virginia, #16 California and #20 William & Mary, and scored a career-high five goals against La Salle. The one-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Week led the team in draw controls with 36 and added 35 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
123 student-athletes from 47 different institutions were named to the Honor Roll.
