Saona Chapman was transferring from Rutgers University, leaving behind the sprawling campus which required her to take a bus to basketball practice every day and the large classes which threatened to consume her.
She was never quite reduced to doubting her basketball ability, not really, but she was disappointed, emotional that things hadn't worked out the way she had planned them while lying awake at night as a high school senior.
"I thought, `Is this really the best thing to do?'" Chapman said.
And where she would wind up was still very much in question.
