
Men's Basketball Falls To Temple, 59-53

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Mardy Collins and Antwyane Robinson each had three points during a 10-3 Temple run over the final 2:22 Saturday as the Owls defeated the Richmond Spiders 59-53 in Atlantic 10 Conference basketball.
Collins' foul shot with 1:56 remaining tied the game at 50. Following a Richmond turnover, Dustin Salisbery had a layup with 1:25 remaining to give the Owls a 52-50 lead.
The Spiders' Jermaine Bucknor gave the Spiders their final lead on a 3-pointer with 54.7 seconds remaining.
The Owls retaliated with a Robinson 3-pointer for the 17th lead change of game with 37.9 seconds left.
The Spiders turned the ball over with 12.4 seconds left, and Mark Tyndale hit two free throws with 10.9 to go. Collins wound out the scoring with two free throws with 1.9 remaining.
Collins led the Owls with 15 points. Robinson and Keith Butler had 13 points apiece.
Patrick O'Malley had a career-high six 3-pointers, giving him 18 for the Spiders. Bucknor added 11.
The Owls were 13-21 from the free-throw line, while the Spiders were only 1-of-2. Temple used 16 offensive rebounds for 21 second-chance points and outrebounded the Spiders 35-26.
