PITTSBURGH (AP) - Kevin Steenberge scored 19 points and Richmond snapped a four-game losing streak with a 76-62 victory over Duquesne on Sunday.
The Spiders (12-13, 7-7 Atlantic-10) never trailed in defeating the Dukes (7-20, 4-10) for the eighth consecutive time. Richmond, which had been 0-8 all-time against Duquesne, has won all eight meetings with the Dukes since joining the Atlantic-10 for the 2001-02 season.
Steenberge was 8-for-10 from the field and had seven rebounds. Andres Sandoval added 15 points for the Spiders, who limited Duquesne to 38 percent shooting from the field.
Bryant McAllister had 27 points for the Dukes, who have lost six of seven. Duquesne, which was defeated on its Senior Day for the fourth straight year, has lost at least 20 games for the fifth time in seven seasons.
The Spiders had not won since sophomore guard and second-leading scorer Daon Merritt was likely lost for the season with a sprained knee on Feb. 12.
