RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to Marshall on Friday afternoon at the Country Club of Virginia.
The loss drops the Spiders to 2-5 on the year.
Marshall got the lead in the match by winning the doubles point.
The Herd won by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles with the Spiders only having five players due to injury. Richmond picked up wins at No. 1 singles with Lindsay Cox defeating Nzudie, 6-1, 6-2 and at No. 2 with Carter beating Joelle Good 6-2, 6-4.
