Women's Lacrosse Plays Final Regular Season Contest

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's lacrosse team will play its final regular season contest on Sunday when it faces Massachusetts in Amherst at noon. The game can be heard live and seen on Gametracker at the Massachusetts website.
The Spiders (6-7, 4-2) are currently riding a four game win streak and clinched a berth in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Championships with their win over La Salle (4/24). Junior Caroline McGuire lead the team in scoring with 32 goals and senior Kristen Habicht and junior Allison Nuzzi pace the team in assists, each recording nine.
With her three goals against the Explorers, Habicht moved into the program's career goals Top 10 record, tying for ninth place with 77.
Massachusetts (5-10, 1-4) faces Temple in Philadelphia on Friday before returning home for Sunday's contest. The Minutewomen will recognize their three seniors prior to the contest.
The Spiders and Minutewomen have met five times in the past with Richmond holding a 3-2 advantage. Last season, Richmond dominated the game in a 19-7 victory.
