UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team once again completed a successful spring campaign, capturing their second straight Atlantic 10 title and making the program's fifth NCAA Championship appearance. The Spiders ended the season with a 14-10 overall mark after competing a majority of the season with just five players.
Senior Lindsay Cox was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Most Outstanding Performer and was joined on the All-Conference Team by senior Courtney Klein, junior Robin Carter. Head Coach Mark Wesselink received his third Coach of the Year recognition.
The Spiders once again played a challenging schedule, facing four nationally-ranked teams. Richmond breezed through the conference tournament, allowing its three opponents to score just two points, before falling to #13 North Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Championships.
