Spider Football Preseason Camp Is Underway

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Spider Football head coach Dave Clawson ran his squad through its first double-session day Wednesday morning at First Market Stadium. The Spiders donned full pads for the second-straight day and began the morning practice at 8 a.m. The team will be back at First Market Stadium Wednesday evening to complete its first two-a-day of 2005.
Clawson's staff used the morning session to work on several parts of the game including special teams positional drills and seven-on-seven skeleton drills. Players also took part in many tackling and conditioning stations.
The 2005 Richmond Football season begins Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at UR Stadium against No. 15 UMass.
