Coach Clawson interviewed by Voice of the Braves, Robert Fish, on ESPN Radio 950
Head coach Dave Clawson and his 2005 Spider football team took a break from their preseason practice routine to meet-and-greet baseball fans at The Diamond Friday night.

The players mingled with the crowd entering the park, handing out schedules and coupons at the gates, and signing autographs for kids of all ages on official On The Move Spider Football posters.

Coach Clawson and senior captains Brian Burnette, David Freeman, John Gromin and Stacy Tutt were invited onto the field before the Braves-Toledo game. Coach Clawson delivered the ceremonial first pitch. Although Coach insists he threw a strike, most of the umpires in the stands said the less-than-fastball was up-and-in!

While the crowd continued to enjoy meeting the players and getting their autographs, Coach Clawson spent the second innning with the Voice of the Braves, Robert Fish, for an interview on ESPN Radio 950.
The Spiders return to the practice field this weekend in preparation for the season opener, under the lights, Thursday September 1 at UR Staidum against nationally-ranked Atlantic 10 rival Massachusetts. Game time is 7 o'clock.
