Clawson and Spider Football To Hold First Annual Signing Day Social

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond head coach Dave Clawson, coming off a trip to the NCAA I-AA National Quarterfinals and a final ranking of No. 8, will be on hand Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Shula's 2 to discuss the 2006 Spider football recruiting class.
Clawson, the 2005 I-AA.org National Coach of the Year, will address those in attendance at 6 p.m. while showing highlight clips of the 2006 signees. Come enjoy free hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, the 2005 highlight tape and grab a copy of the 2006 Spider football schedule.
Check back at www.RichmondSpiders.com all day Feb. 1 to catch Richmond's "Signing Day Tracker." Live updates on Spider signees will be added to the front page as the signed, national letters-of-intent are received. A complete release with information on all of the new Spiders will then be posted following the First Annual Spider Football Signing Day Social.
Shula's 2 is located in the Sheraton Richmond-West hotel on West Broad street near I-64. Reservations are not required, but space will be limited.
