Women's Soccer Drops To St. Bonaventure, 2-0

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The Richmond women's soccer team was shut out by the St. Bonaventure Bonnies 2-0 on in Atlantic 10 action on Friday night at Bolivar-Richburg High School in Bolivar, N.Y.
The Bonnies took the lead early on, scoring both of their goals early in the first half and within a two and a half minute span. Jacquee Parmiter put the Bonnies up 1-0 in the 6th minute as she headed in a direct kick from teammate Kelly Gregory.
In the 10th minute, Kristin Sotak re-directed a crossing pass from Maggie Hanna past Richmond goalkeeper Kate Hudson from 10 yards out to put St. Bonaventure ahead 2-0.
Although the Spiders out-shot the Bonnies 16-12 in the game, St. Bonaventure was able to hold the lead the rest of the way and they captured their first A-10 victory of the season.
Hudson recorded one save in goal in the first half for the Spiders and freshman Kate Rutkowski notched three saves in goal for Richmond, while the Bonnies' keeper Lisa Eberhart made six saves for the shutout.
The Bonnies improved to 2-12-1 overall and 1-5 in Atlantic 10 play, while Richmond dropped to 1-12-2 overall and 1-5 in conference action.
The Spiders will now conclude their final road trip of the regular season with the Fordham Rams (10-4-0 overall, 4-1 in the A-10) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
