
Taylor And Conrad Earn Weekly Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Junior Shannon Taylor and freshman Lindsey Conrad both earned weekly Atlantic 10 Field Hockey honors, conference officials announced Monday. Taylor has now won Performer of the Week honors five times this season, while Conrad earned a share of her fourth-straight Rookie of the Week honor.
Taylor, a native of Midlothian, Va., notched four goals in Richmond's wins over Temple and St. Joseph's this past weekend. The midfielder garnered her second four-goal game of the season in a 6-1 win over St. Joe's Oct. 22. Taylor scored three consecutive goals between the 24th and 42nd minute of the SJU contest and finished the game with eight points. She led the team with six shots in a 2-1 overtime victory over Temple Oct. 21, and is now tied for third nationally in points per game with 3.57.
Conrad scored two goals over the weekend for the Spiders, including the game-winner in overtime versus Temple Oct. 20. She also added a goal in the Spiders' 6-1 win at SJU Sunday. The Wilkes-Barre, Pa., native currently ranks second in the league in points per game with 1.94.
The Spiders will closeout their regular season Sunday when they host Saint Louis, Oct. 29, at noon.
