"It was great for our freshmen to play in a simulated game in the Robins Center," Richmond head coach Chris Mooney said. "We were able to see some very positive things on the floor."
Richmond has six freshmen and a red-shirt freshman on this year's roster.
The Spiders open the regular season on Nov. 14 against East Carolina in the Robins Center at 7 p.m. Richmond plays three-straight home games to open the year, also playing American on Nov. 17 and Longwood on Nov. 20.
