UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond's Mandy Friend, a freshman midfielder/attacker from Canandaigua, N.Y., was named the A-10's women's lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season after recording a hat trick to help her 12th-ranked squad break the program's record for most wins in a season with a 10-4 triumph over La Salle on Sunday.
Friend garnered the honor after converting three of her five shots to score three goals, including a game-winner on her way to her tenth hat trick of the season as the Spiders topped La Salle at McCarthy Stadium in Philadelphia last week.
