
Pickar Named Atlantic 10 Player Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond sophomore Adrian Pickar was named Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Player of the Week after scoring three goals in two games over the weekend.
Pickar was also named to womensfieldhockey.com's weekly honor roll after scoring two goals in the Spiders' 3-2 win over Saint Joseph's on Sunday and scoring one goal in the 2-1 win over Temple on Friday. She was one of six players from across the nation to be named to the website's honor roll.
The Ijamsville, Md. native and former Urbana High standout has three goals on the season and five tallies for her career.
The Spiders won their first two Atlantic 10 Conference games and have now won 44-straight games against A-10 opponents.
Richmond continues Atlantic 10 play this weekend, when the Spiders host West Chester on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and La Salle on Sunday at noon.
