Blythe-Wood, Reese Earn Atlantic 10 Weekly Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond sophomore Sarah Blythe-Wood was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week and freshman Sara Reese was named the conference's Rookie of the Week it was announced Monday.

Blythe-Wood, a native of Harare, Zimbabwe, scored two goals, including the game winner, in Richmond's 3-2 victory over Hofstra on Saturday. The goals were the first of her career.

Reese, a frosh from Lancaster, Pa., scored the Spiders' first goal of the season in the win over Hofstra.

The five-time defending Atlantic 10 champion Spiders went 1-1 on the weekend, losing to No. 16 ranked American 4-0 on Sunday. Richmond returns to action on Thursday at No. 8 ranked Virginia and then hosts Delaware on Saturday at noon.
