Spiders And Rams Battle To Double Overtime Tie In Women's Soccer

BRONX, N.Y. - The University of Richmond women's soccer team opened its Atlantic 10 schedule with a 0-0 double-overtime tie at Fordham Friday night. The Spiders are back home Sunday to host La Salle at 1 p.m.
Jen Byer made four saves for the Rams (3-3-2, 0-0-1), who owned an 8-6 advantage in overall shots for the game. But the Spiders put four of their six on goal, led by the game-high three from midfielder Jessie Wolfe.
Richmond (1-6-2, 0-0-1) goalkeeper Kate Hudson made one save on her only opportunity in the 110-minute match. That save came in the first overtime period.
The Rams held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
