THE TEAM

The Spiders had a season-high 12 steals against Delaware State, the most steals Richmond has had since the 2007-08 season opener. Richmond has 23 steals in the last two games and is averaging 7.5 steals per game. The Spiders have at least five steals in 40 of the last 42 games.

Richmond improved to 3-0 at home this season. The Spiders have won four-straight and five of the last six home games.

Richmond had 12 turnovers, the third time the Spiders have had 12 turnovers or less this season and the sixth time in eight games that the Spiders have had 15 or less turnovers.

Richmond entered the game with the sixth-best field goal percentage in the country (.508) and the Spiders shot 50 percent from the field Saturday. The Spiders have shot 50 percent or higher from the field in three of eight games and have shot at least 44 percent in all eight games.

Richmond made seven three-pointers, giving the Spiders at least seven three-pointers in seven of the eight games this season.

All five of Richmond's victories this season have come by double-figures.

THE PLAYERS

Junior David Gonzalvez scored 20 points for the second-straight game. Gonzalvez has three 20-point games this season and 12 for his career. He has scored in double-figures 38 times in his career, including nine-straight games. He also tied a career high with four steals.

Sophomore Kevin Anderson scored 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting for his 17th-straight game in double-figures and the 28th double-figure scoring game of his career. He also dished out four assists and had two steals.

Senior Jarhon Giddings scored 14 points for his eighth-career double-figure scoring game, including his third this season.

Redshirt freshman Josh Duinker scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds, his highs in both categories since the season-opening win over Randolph-Macon.

Freshman Francis-Cedric Martel scored a career-high eight points, making both of his three-point attempts.
