UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - On the heels of the most successful season in school history, the University of Richmond football team has unveiled its 2007 highlight video. The 11-minute compilation is available online, free of charge, through SpiderTV and was produced by Blake Ellett and Brooks Blake in the Spiders' video department.
The video, which is set to a variety of music and includes audio clips, takes you all the way from Tim Hightower's first touchdown of the season at Vanderbilt, through the thrilling home win over nationally-ranked New Hampshire, to the locker room following the victory at James Madison, to the epic Delaware triumph, through the memorable run in the NCAA Playoffs and everywhere in between.
The video clips are courtesy of ESPN Productions, WRIC-TV in Richmond, Comcast Sportsnet and CN8.
It was a record-shattering season at Richmond, as the Spiders won a school-record 11 games, captured the inaugural CAA Football title and reached the NCAA National Semifinals for the first time in history. The Spiders' No. 4 final national ranking is the highest in the program's history.
Individually, senior Tim Hightower's, who finished as the NCAA's sixth-leading rusher, won four different All-America honors, was a finalist for the FCS National Player of the Year Award and finished second in the Dudley Award voting. Hightower was one of 15 Spiders to garner CAA Football All-Conference honors and one of three to earn All-America recognition.
