
Field Hockey Faces No. 20 Old Dominion Saturday

NORFOLK, Va. - The Richmond field hockey team will play at No. 20 ranked Old Dominion on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Monarchs are still ranked despite a 0-4 start in which they have scored just one goal, but their competition has been stiff. Old Dominion has losses to No. 1 Maryland, No. 7 Syracuse, No. 8 Virginia and No. 11 Penn State.
Richmond (1-3) is receiving votes in the STX/NFHCA Poll, which has them at 37th in the nation. The Spiders have lost three-straight games, including the last two by one goal. Richmond battled No. 17 Princeton last Friday before falling 2-1.

Spider senior Alex Malatesta and freshman Katelin Peterson lead the Spiders in scoring with eight points apiece. Peterson, who was already named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week once, has a team-high four goals with one coming in each of her four collegiate games. Malatesta has three goals and two assists.
