
Blythe-Wood Named Atlantic 10 Player Of The Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond senior Sarah Blythe-Wood was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after scoring a school-record five goals in a win over Saint Louis on Friday.
Blythe-Wood topped the previous school record for goals in a game as the Spiders tied the school record for goals in a game with 12.
This is Blythe-Wood's second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor this season and the third of her career.
The Harare, Zimbabwe native leads the Atlantic 10 with 35 points and 14 goals. She ranks 13th in the nation in points per game at 2.69 and she is ninth in goals per game at 1.08.
Blythe had 11 points in the win over Saint Louis, adding an assist. She is ninth on Richmond's all-time scoring list with 71 points and is tied with fellow senior Megan Thompson for ninth on the school's all-time list with 28 goals.
Richmond is 6-7 overall and 1-0 in Atlantic 10 Conference play, having won 55 of the last 60 games against A-10 teams.
The Spiders play their final two home games of the season this weekend, hosting La Salle on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and West Chester on Sunday at 12 p.m.
