Women's Soccer Falls At Rhode Island, 2-1

The Richmond women's soccer team fell at Rhode Island 2-1 Friday night. Sophomore Emily Dale netted the Spiders' only goal.
Dale tallied the game's first score in the 50th minute off a Kelsey Rdzanek pass. Dale dribbled past defender on the right side of the goal and notched the shot past the Rams keeper.
Rhode Island responded when Kaylen Shimoda scored unassisted in the game's 60th minute. Shimoda tallied the game-winning goal two minutes later after an assist from a Ram forward in the box.
Sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Pacheco collected a game-high seven saves in the net. Dale led Richmond with three shots.
Richmond dropped to 4-5-1 in league action and 8-9-2 overall. The Spiders face UMass in a pivotal match on Sunday at 11 a.m.
