Sieben Earns Ninth Career A-10 Weekly Award

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior swimmer Katie Sieben was honored with her second Atlantic 10 weekly award this season, and the ninth of her career, being named the Performer of the Week. Sieben posted five top-four finishes for the Spiders at the Terrapin Cup.
The Seymour, Conn. native finished fourth or better in five of the six events she swam at the Terrapin Cup, including a gold-medal performance in the 100 fly (54.15). She was third in the 200 medley relay (1:43.53), third in the 400 medley relay (3:48.77), fourth in the 50 free (23.45) and fourth in the 200 free relay (1:35.47), while adding a sixth-place finish in the 100 free (51.34).
Richmond took seventh-place overall against a stacked 10-team field that included Maryland, Connecticut and Villanova.
Sieben's well-decorated career has included nine A-10 weekly awards - seven of which have been as the Performer of the Week.
The Spiders wrapped up the Fall portion of their schedule at the Terrapin Cup, and return to action Jan. 15, 2010 when they host William & Mary at the Robins Center Natatorium.
