Women's Lacrosse Preview: No. 17 James Madison vs. Richmond

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The women's lacrosse team hosts in-state rival, No. 17 James Madison Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at First Market Stadium. Senior Allison Furstenburg leads the Spiders with 15 goals.
Richmond is coming off a 16-13 loss to Old Dominion on Tuesday. Senior Mandy Friend led Spider scoring with six goals. Furstenburg dished a team-best two assists. The Spiders have played a challenging non-conference schedule, with four of the last five games being against top 10 ACC schools.
Furstenburg was tabbed A-10 Player of the Week for the first time this season (2/23). Furstenburg also leads the spiders with five assists on the season. Friend follows closely behind with 14 goals and three assists.
James Madison is coming off a 16-12 loss to No. 11 Notre Dame. Sophomore Mary Kate Lomady led Duke scoring with four goals.
The Dukes squeaked past the Spiders, 11-10 in last year's match-up. Furstenburg led Richmond with five goals. James Madison owns a 4-28 advantage in the series.
The Spiders return to action next Tuesday night at Longwood. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
