Women's Lacrosse Hosts Saint Joseph's On Senior Day

The women's lacrosse team plays Saint Joseph's Sunday at noon at First Market Stadium. Richmond's six seniors will be recognized before the game. The Spiders face La Salle today at 4 pm. in their last regular season road conference game.
Richmond is coming off a 16-12 win over American Wednesday. Senior Allison Furstenburg led Richmond with a game-high five goals and three assists. Furstenburg leads the Spiders in goals (43) assists (23) and points (66).
La Salle is coming off a double-overtime loss to LaFayette, 12-11. The Explorers are 4-10 on the year. The Spiders lead the series, 7-0 and won last year's contest, 19-5 with Furstenburg again leading the Spiders with five goals and two assists.
Richmond leads the Saint Joseph's series, 8-0 and defeated the Hawks 13-9 last April. Senior Mandy Friend scored a team-best six goals.
After Sunday's game, the Spiders travel to Philadelphia next weekend for the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
